It's exactly 2:17am and right now what I want is a chocolate mousse, a pullover, my flip flops, and the talent to sneak out of the house without my parents noticing it. Instead, I'm here in my room with my table lamp ON sitting like one of those ancient masterminds.
Don't you ever wanna be like the dudes in ZNMD (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) where you could hangout with your friends have the best time together.
Why high mountains? Hoot and howl when you are standing on top of the most random thing, it could be even a chair!
Giggle at the woman who just passed by you who had a big butt. Laugh out loud when your friend gets slapped by the same woman you laughed at!
Try skating when you do not have balance on the skates for even a second. Laugh till you leak but still have no clue what you laughed for.
Ok now take a deep breath and resume your laughter. I know this is insane but all of us have had such moments which are unforgettable. But in this present scenario we still find girls who are not out going, not because they don't want to just because they are either scared to do so or because they think it would be less feminine.
To those women who think this is going to make you less feminine. Eye shadows, mascara, little pink dresses, a beautiful wallet with a make up kit, ballerina shoes, waxed body, maintaining figure and all of that is a personal choice but giving up on the adventures and thrills in life just to keep up to your physical appearance would be stupidity.
Giving up on beach not because you hate them but to the fact that you will get tanned, giving up on trekking not because you have less lung capacity, because you think your skin might develop rashes.
This present world is being confined into selfies which further leads to Facebook and Instagram. These days the fun is not in experiencing but in getting maximum likes on the picture with the sea/mountain as the background.
Girls come on! You are not living your life to impress or prove to someone else, it is to impress and prove to yourself what you have made out of your life in your old age!
To those women who are scared. Everybody has that moment in life where they take a step back to think, to re-think or sometimes to run away from what you fear. Running away is not a solution, you might run away today but there's always a tomorrow. And when you overcome your fear, that is the moment you feel like you have conquered all heaven and earth.
And I bet you'll never forget the happy and thrilling times that you spent with your family and friends. Don't be coward, do not give a chance for anybody to look down at you with a pitiful expression.
Girls! Pull up your socks, bring out that real YOU who wants to see, hear, feel and taste this world.
Let not anybody or any factor hinder you from doing what your heart wants to. Bring out the Actor, the Singer, the Photographer, the "Whatever" in you that 'yeh duniya dekhti jaye'.
This is where you belong...
We are, here, made to rethink about ourselves! The question - Are we living our life to fullest? - was correctly raised!

DeleteCarle diem should be the motto of all youngsters.Do not let society dictate terms to you Well done Diana.Keep going Good luck
ReplyDeleteThank you so much ma'am.
DeleteWith due respect ma'am, you meant Carpe diem in Latin meaning "seize the day" right?
DeleteDo what your mind says not your heart, as your heart just pumps to stimulus and reacts . It does not think and perform tasks unlike the mind. Listening to your heart does not always make your choices better.Heart reacts instantaneously and sometimes can result at good outcomes but not always. Consider the scenario. Your heart tells you that driving your bike at extreme speeds thrills you and makes you the king of streets but, a single miscalculation with speeds can result in a collision, which could not just kill you but could be a threat to the others driving on the road . Apply the same analogy to all your choices, think differently and accept all consequences that come with it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to bring to your notice that choosing one's own lifestyle is a personal choice you make. Also that I haven't written this article for people to try out hilarious things that costs their life. Well, I do agree to the scenario which could cause major loss, but i'm talking about the opportunities and fun which pass by most of the girls and many of them giving up on them because it affects their appearance. Yes, i do realize that to many appearance matters. In the case of an actor/ model their appearance matters lot, but I'm just pointing out on the fun that they are missing on. At least when life gets too serious they could probably take a break from all of the tight schedules and do something which they have not tried out before. (again, i do not mean life threatening tasks, it's again a personal choice)
