gate was kept open, we walked along the step stones with daffodils on both the sides. They were
as soft as velvet. As I took off my heels and stepped inside, I felt the white marble as cold as
snow. As we take a walk in the house, I hear a sudden scream, calling out my name, next I was
on the floor with about fourteen girls. All of us screaming, laughing and giggling, all of this still
echoing in my ear. After a refreshing swim in that perfectly circular pool we were craving for
food.
As I enter the dining room, all of us stand there shocked, the table over flowing with delicacies.
Salads with fresh green lettuce ,broccoli, carrots, juicy tomatoes, mangoes, apples, fresh juices,
milk shakes, trays filled with slices of pizza, chocolate dripping cakes, brownies, red velvet,
vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch, mango, choco chip and many more flavours of ice creams.
Mouth watering hot dogs, potato chips and pudding. Oh! How could I forget the wine, the blood
red wine before starting off with the meal was a delight. I was in a dilemma I did not know
where to start. Since I was craving for food, I went for the pizza, the cheesy, doughy, saucy,
spicy pizza. The taste of the pizza tickling my taste buds, fulfilling my hunger. The fizz of their
coke being poured into a glass of ice cubes make me thirsty but, I prefer fresh juice over coke.
My attention is caught by the sight of banana split ice cream, three scoops of ice cream with
split banana on either side and mounted with whipped cream on top laced with chocolate sauce
and sprinkled with chopped nuts. All topped off with a plump red cherry caught my eye.
I wish I could eat all of this, I feel my eyes are bigger than my stomach.
After all of this, we crashed on the couch, took a nap, we woke up to cup of hot coffee, that smell
of roasted coffee beans, there is nothing more I could wish for. We head out to the “chaat vaala”
there we ate the tangy aaloo till I chat, spicy dhoklas and crispy papdi chat. The paani puries are
always my favorite. A hollowed out shell of a mini puri punctured at its crown, stuffed with a
tangy mix of potatoes, meethi chutney and shudderingly sour tamarind water, small enough to be
eaten whole and big to make the whole exercise an example of how food can be such a delicious
fun.
As we walked back to our homes we had small pinks of cotton candy.
